Hi, I am Abel Benjamin, the founder and the president of the center. Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Mata Air Kehidupan Selangor was organized 2003, registered in Jun 2012. Our center’s objective is to shelter homeless children. In the year 2003, we had 25 children. In 2022, we can take in 12 children. We take children from various backgrounds like homeless, abundant, or neglected by their parents. We often have some programs such as outings, motivation camp, study programs, singing, dancing, learning musical instruments, drawing and etc. We also send our kids to kindergarten, primary and secondary school. Whenever they are sick, we take them to the government hospital or clinic. If they are sick and urgent, we take them to the private clinic. The main reason I organise this center was to cater to the under privilege children. To provide a great environment for the homeless kids. Help them to continue their education. Inspire good values in the children to be good citizens. To expose the children to pre-vocational training and working skill for the future. I feel happy to see our home is benefiting those in need. They do appreciate and thank us for taking care of them with love, and they feel comfortable and relaxed. I didn’t feel or faced any difficulties in taking care of them. Just need some time to let them accept us. The only issue that we run into is financial. Our expenses are more than RM10,000 per month, mainly just for food, workers allowance, repairs, maintenance, school, transportation, van and car repair, medication, rental, utility, and fuel. We really need help from the public by donating.
