Hi everyone, we are from Kindly Orphan & Handicap Welfare Homes, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Selangor, also known as Pusat Shandai. Our home was established on 18 August 2020, with the purpose of helping needy kids. We currently have 8 children under our care, with four of them are persons with disability. We mainly house children of single parents, children from abusive homes, as well as orphans. Besides, we also accept children with disability such as hyperactivity/ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disability or others. We currently provide tuition classes, tutoring, art classes, and language classes for non-disabled kids. Their daily activities include online classes and exercises, i.e. badminton and basketball. As for the four disabled kids, since they have problem with self-care, we take special care of them. Whenever any of the children falls sick, we will bring them to see a doctor immediately, and will ensure that they take their medication on time. I believe there are too many children in our community who need our help. I established this Pusat Shandai precisely because I think we should do our best to help these needy kids. It is certainly full of challenges to take care of these children, but no matter how tough it is, we must persevere for the sake of them. In average we spend around RM15,000 per month to take care of them, with rental, utility bills, daily expenses, tuition fees, school bus fares, language class, art class etc being the major expenses. As we are planning to set up a library and a classroom for these children, we will certainly need more funds. I know that the ability of single individual is very limited. Therefore, I hope there are more kind souls from all walks of life coming to our assistance. I would like to express my utmost gratitude to Panda Charity for the support.
