Hi, I am Theresa. Persatuan Kebajikan SVM was established in 2009. Before we take over this center, we are actually just a rental collector of the center. Until one day, the person in charge of the center went missing in action. My late husband and the house owner wish to continue the charity center. That’s why I am here today. We can take up to 18 people. Especially for OKU and the elderly only. Whenever they are sick, we will inform their family members to take them to the hospital. If there is no family member, we will fetch them on our own. I feel blessed to involve myself in this field as my husband and I have a sense of caring and willingness to sacrifice, I am very happy because I helped many people. It was difficult for me at the beginning as my late husband passed away suddenly. But now I am able to run this charity home smoothly. I didn’t feel or faced any difficulties in taking care of them. The only issue that we run into is financial. Our expenses are around RM3,000 per month, mainly just for workers’ salaries, medication, utilities, and maintenance. We really need help from the public by donating some items, foods, stationeries, electronic devices, medicine and etc. As our accommodation is getting older and older, we wish to renovate this center’s windows, doors, kitchen cabinets, and room cabinets for a better environment. I wish the public are able to help with this as we lack funds. Last but not least, I would like to express my gratitude to PANDA LOVE CHARITY for supporting and promoting our Charity Home.
