I am the Founder of Persatuan Kebajikan Insan Istimewa Cahaya Selangor, a charity home located at Kampung Sireh, Semenyih, Selangor which I founded in the year 2012. Dr. Nishakumar is the Director of our Centre since 2015. My objective to establish this Centre is to contribute to nation building, by offering the children and elderly proper care. We want to ensure that the children grow up to become productive and have a good future, and the elderly live a pleasant and peaceful life. Currently, there are 25 residents living in this multiracial Centre, including children and elderly, both who are healthy as well as those with disability. Here in the Centre, we provide healthy meals to the residents. We strive to offer more activities to the residents, including exercise, dancing, singing or cooking, as well as birthday celebrations and movie watching. Whenever a resident is unwell, we will bring them to the clinic for treatment, and prepare the medicine for them to take it on time, in order for them to recover fully. We are also looking for sponsorship, in order to prepare more supplements those who need them. Regarding why am I willing to take care of the disadvantaged children and elderly, the reason is I am truly satisfied and will be feeling full of happiness when I see them well taken care of. The love and care will really change their attitude and the way they respond to the people around. I don’t feel any hardship in taking care of them at all, because I really love taking care of the children and elderly. I treat them with full of love, because to me, they are part of my family. The monthly cost to operate this Centre comes up to about RM 15,000 per month, consisting mainly food, the salary of employees, medication and the necessary equipments. It would be great if we can raise some funds, because currently our Centre needs some renovation urgently. I would like to sincerely thank Panda Love Charity for all the support given to our Centre, because with more funds, we can provide a more comfortable place for our residents here.
